Mountgrace Gundogs Stud Dogs

All our stud dogs are top class tried and tested working stock, hip and eye tested and selected for their temperment and workability. Last season the dogs worked eight days on local shoots. Working ability and temperment are far more important than colour. Having said that we do have black, yellow and fox red labradour stud dogs.

Puppies

Loxy (Black)

This year I will have some labradour puppies available from Loxy (black). Sire of the puppies is Glen (fox red) see them above. Both parents are hip and eye tested and bred from field trial champions. Puppies arrived 7th July. There are two black dogs available from this litter

My friend Joe Townsend of Hurworth Hunt Kennels also has a litter of yellow and black labradour puppies by Bragg with 9 bitches and 1 dog available.

Springer Spaniel puppies from Sophie a lovely honest bitch by Guss (see above). There were five bitches and two dogs in the litter. These are all sold.

None of my dogs are hard cases that you see so much of today. I won't have that type of dog in my kennels. These dogs have trainability bred into them which makes them so much easier to train and easier to handle at a shoot.

Our working gundogs are Labradors and Spaniels.
